What We Believe About the Church

Concerning the Local Church Assembled

       Our views of the church can be read in our church documents. However, we do believe it is
important to give a statement regarding how we conduct our worship services. As a gathered
body of people, Fair Grove Baptist Church focuses on the worship of our Creator and Redeemer.
We believe that this is best achieved through our growth in the knowledge of the person and
work of the Holy and Eternal Lord God Almighty. We believe that praise is the result of our
confession, or what we know about him.

Concerning the Local Church Dispersed

       We believe that the church is meant to impact its community by being “salt” and “light” to
the world we live in. Evangelism is the result of living righteously before the world and sharing
the hope we have as the opportunity presents itself.

Concerning the Centrality of the Word of God in Our Assembled Worship

       We believe it is the primary duty of our elders to “feed the flock” and to “watch over” those
whom God has placed beneath their care. We believe that the Word of God is sufficient for all
things pertaining to life and godliness.
